Job Title: Junior Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Junior Electrician proficient in using EMT with a hand bender, table bender, and bending conduit ranging from 1/2 to 3/4 inch. The role involves building conduit rack systems, pulling wire through conduit systems, and working with exposed conduit and racking systems. Responsibilities include wiring, lighting control systems, and possessing knowledge of the NEC code for rough-ins, three-way switches, outlets, and fire alarms. The position also requires installing, wiring, and finishing branch circuits and distributions.

Responsibilities

• Perform EMT with a hand bender, table bender, and bending conduit.
• Build conduit rack systems and pull wire through conduit systems.
• Handle exposed conduit and racking systems.
• Wire and manage lighting control systems.
• Apply NEC code knowledge for rough-ins, switches, outlets, and fire alarms.
• Install, wire, and finish branch circuits and distributions.
• Conduct 120-480 Volt electrical work.
• Lay out work plans and read blueprints.
• Manage zone work of lighting, panel wiring, and landing wire into main electrical panels.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical conduit work, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with blueprint reading and electrical layout.
• Knowledge of lighting control systems, including Lutron systems.
• Experience with fire alarm systems and exposed conduit.
• Familiarity with NEC code and roughing in wire.
• Ability to pull wire and conduct basic conduit work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of a physical and active SST 10-hour card.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a full mechanic.
• Ability to independently read blueprints.
• Ownership of personal protective equipment and hand tools, including a cordless drill, metros, electrical testers, and laser level.

Work Environment

Work is conducted across all five boroughs, and candidates must be able to reach all locations via public transportation. The workday starts between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, includes a half-hour unpaid lunch, and a 15-minute coffee break, totaling an 8-hour workday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Staten Island, NY.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
