Registered Room Nurse (RN) Operating

Specialty: Nursing

Sub Specialties: Operating Room, Operating Room / Circulate

Shift: Days | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts

Position Summary

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care for patients and their families. Expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care is expected. The RN collaborates with providers, staff, and other members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes and oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Deliver patient education to facilitate the plan of care, informed healthcare choices, and promote optimal wellness.
• Delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
• Demonstrate competent healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
• Handle high telephone volumes of patient requests for medications, information, and assistance.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with physician practices and other healthcare providers.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Deliver excellent service utilizing Relationship-Based Care.
• Advocate for patient safety, patient preferences, and effective communication with patients and families.
• Role model the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado or a valid Compact State license.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.

General Certifications

• BLS/BCLS
• ACLS
• PALS
