This contract-to-hire role focuses on preparing outgoing shipments and coordinating closely with the Customer Service team to ensure all shipping documents are accurate, complete, and processed on time. You will handle material movement, use carrier and ERP systems, and support general warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution center.
Responsibilities
You will work in a modern, state-of-the-art facility that offers a full kitchen, game area with pool and ping pong tables, a TV lounge, a small library, and a full gym, creating a comfortable and engaging workplace. The organization places a strong emphasis on employee feedback and continuously seeks input from the team to improve processes and culture. Contingent workers are eligible for a structured stay-on bonus program, with bonuses available after 30 and 90 days of uninterrupted service in good standing. There is also a clear pathway from contingent worker to full-time employment, with regular monthly conversions based on skills, work attitude, performance, attendance, and teamwork, accompanied by a base wage increase at the time of conversion.
Work Environment
The role is based in a new distribution center with extensive racking similar to a large wholesale warehouse, where you will use material handling equipment to stage and move orders for shipment. Multiple shift options are available, including day and swing shifts at different locations, providing flexibility in scheduling. The environment is fast-paced and highly organized, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and efficient workflow. You will work closely with the Customer Service and Operations teams, using ERP systems, carrier platforms, RF scanners, and standard warehouse tools such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The facility offers on-site amenities including a full kitchen, game area, TV lounge, small library, and gym, contributing to a comfortable and supportive work setting. Dress is typical for a warehouse and distribution environment, emphasizing safety and practicality while working around racks, equipment, and active shipping docks.
